I grew up in Traverse City and in small town life I learned words and ideas. I started writing because I fell in love with a girl who thought I had something to say. I kept writing because I fell in love with more girls and each one thought I had something else to say. Through all this I’ve learned that without women I am only celibate but without words I am unstable. I write about small town life, growing up, falling in love, but mostly I write about how each one fucks you up.
